all abt MIL....

been a hectic week for me and hubby.... MIL bypass operation went succesfully last Monday, until she suffered an asthma attack the next day in the evening and it drags on till over the weekend....

I visited her on every lunch break last week, and had to leave my office at 5pm on Wednesday when hubby told me her condition worsen.... I cant deny admitting the tiredness of my body on tt day when I had to face my gastric pains (prob due to having late lunch and dinner)... MIL was breathless most of the time, and with all the plugs inserted in her arms and neck, is such a devastating state. Hubby and I stayed on till 8pm as I'm enduring my own pain....

I took urgent leave on Thurs, to attend to her.... We left at 9am, and travelled by bus. Had a light snack in case the pains come again, and hubby left at noon for work..... Fed her her lunch, and she was slightly better than the day before.... FIL was around too, and we took turns to accompany her.... She cleared her bowels on tt day, which I told her its better not to hold on it, as she might suffer from abdominal cramps... and after that, the nurse in-charge, allow her to sit on a chair.... and she was much much better.... Reason being, as she's more on a bigger side, she couldnt lay down straight on her back, as her belly will push against her lungs and making it difficult for her to breathe, on top of her asthma, hence, till now, she's in a 80 degrees position. At almost 6pm, they decide to take her out of ICU, and place her in High Dependency wad. Informed hubby about it, and persuade him to take half day off from work, as i'm all worn out to go home on my own.

He managed to excuse himself, and when he reached SGH wz the gerls and my mum, its almost 9.15pm.......... (he went home to get the car).... Sent FIL home and once we are back, I was by Didi side at 11pm, to assist her in her homework....

I told hubby that i wont be visiting MIL on Friday, as I need to energise myself back. And hearing that, she had been transferred to the normal wad was a good sign. However, at 11pm on the same day, hubby called me up and said MIL is totally breathless again... So, once he's home, we drove to SGH and by 2am we were already there. I'm all geared wz my jacket and spongebob, as I'm sure, i have to spend the morning there....

Took over FIL, as the wad was all lady patients, comfort her, recite ayatul kursi, and when the doc came, he told me he need to take her blood samples. X-ray was done too there and then. While waiting for the results, MIL held my arms, and told me the most saddest thing which i DUN WISH to hear... she wants me to take care of my younger siblings should she couldnt make through... and I had to stop her, and told her to think positively... and, she said, this is her reminder to me as i'm her eldest DIL.... (take note, i have an elder SIL, but mayb she sd tt bcos' i was her 1st SIL)... its really sad, but i was able to control my tears.... Soon, doc came in, and spoke to me in private, outside the room... he said her blood result was not good, and should the xray was the same too, she needs to be transferred back to ICU... i was hoping things will not work out tt way, 5mins later, he came and said, she have to go HD wad now, as her xray was not that bad.... So, back to HD, me waited outside the waiting area, and dozed off.... Hubby and FIL took over from there... At 5.30am, we left for home.....

Visited her again on Sat, this time doc suspect she could be suffering from pneumonia (lungs infection), and another blood samples were taken for the lung specialist to check... and antibiotics need to be given for at least a week....

I have yet to know her result now, as it was still not out yesterday. But she looked better yesterday, probably due to the antibiotics.... Will be visiting her again later...

I will not be updating frequently now as i'm all tied up.....
